Vladimir Putin says Russia agrees with a Ukraine ceasefire but it should lead to “enduring peace and remove underlying causes of this crisis”.
His comments came just after visiting the Kursk region, which he claimed was “completely under our control.”
Putin suggested the 30-day truce would benefit Ukraine rather than Russia, boasting that his forces are “on the offensive in all areas.”
The Russian leader also addressed the “difficult situation in the world, in Europe and also on the borders of our countries.”
